The Wedding of Jordan & Zoe

La Bastide de Laurence Provence, France
RSVP
Location

Provence,
France

Set in the Vaucluse in Southern France, this is lavender and vineyard country, long loved for the light that drew painters south in the Rococo era. Guests will be based in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue — the Antique Capital of France, famed for its Sunday antique market. It's laced with canals that earn its "Little Venice" nickname, and the Luberon's hilltop villages — Gordes, Bonnieux, and Ménerbes — are just twenty minutes away.

Venue

La Bastide de
Laurence

This 400-year-old bastide sits just outside L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, wrapped around a central courtyard behind antique iron gates. Its cypress-lined drive opens onto lavender and a view of Mont Ventoux. The grounds, shaped by two of France's leading landscape designers, hold olive and 200-year-old plane trees, botanical gardens, and a rose-garden pool anchored by an ornate fountain. Inside, warm, layered interiors are dressed in restored antiques and collected artifacts.

Paris

Most guests will be flying into Paris CDG and can take the 2.5-hour TGV high-speed train to Avignon from there. We recommend booking the TGV in advance on SNCF Connect to avoid surge pricing. Non-EU guests, remember to check passport validity!

For those connecting within Europe, Marseille Provence (MRS) is the closest major airport, about an hour's drive from the venue. There are also small Avignon (AVN) and Nîmes (FNI) airports with limited service.

Avignon

You can take a 30 minute taxi from Avignon TGV station to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. A taxi rank is available upon arrival and should cost between €70–90. For those who want to arrange transportation in advance, feel free to reach out to one of the vendors below. You can also rent a car at the station, but keep in mind that the destination town is walkable, and there is no parking at the venue.

Your presence,
please

We are so appreciative of you traveling to France to celebrate with us. Your time and presence is the best gift we could possibly ask for! Therefore, we don't expect any gifts from guests. However, for those of you who won't take no for an answer, we would happily put any cash contributions toward our mini-moon on the French Riviera.

Dress Code

But what do
I wear?

The mood of the wedding festivities is French, flirty, feminine, floral, and fabulous.

Weather-wise, early June in Provence is warm and dry, with days in the high 70s to mid 80s and plenty of strong early-summer sun. Light, breathable fabrics are best for the daytime. Sunscreen, a hat, and/or sunglasses are a good idea to bring.

The famous mistral wind can arrive without much warning, and once the sun drops, the air cools into the high 50s. A wrap, jacket, or light layer is worth packing for dinners and late nights.

Much of the property and village is gravel, stone, and grass. Block heels or flats are recommended over anything with a thin heel.
